Have you met people who are unexcited about their birthdays? Yeah, I am one of them. ✌️✌️😂
My birthday was on the 11th of February, but I am just blogging about it now. I didn’t put it up on my status or anything like that on the 11th sef.lol!
Truthfully, I didn’t put it up on my WhatsApp status so people will forget to call me. Receiving lots of calls and replying birthday wishes on WhatsApp is such an enormous task for me😂
But shout out to you if you remembered and called me, or if Facebook reminded you. lol! I really appreciated the calls, the SMSs, and the Whatsapp messages, Voice calls and Voice songs.
Hey, I got some heartwarming messages from some of my best people, and I just had to do screenshots. Btw, this is my first blog post of the year!!! 💃💃💃
I am blogging this to show God that I am still being deliberate about my gratitude.
This year, I got surprise gifts. I even got a cake! Really cute cake from my SUPER BOSS. Check out the photos of the cake and I.
So, this blog post is really about that ONE thing you can do when you are unexcited about your birthday.
Be grateful for life, be grateful for love, be grateful for family, be grateful for progress. Just be deliberate about gratitude.
This will not cause automatic excitement to fall on you, but it will help you to see how far you have come, and how that you are really not where you used to be.
It will help you see how far God has helped you.
Gratitude will help you focus on the things that are happening right in your life, rather than the things that are going wrong.
I did a post about four easy tips for practicing gratitude. You can click HERE to read it.
I practiced two of those tips on my birthday. The first was throwing my feelings out of the window, and the second was writing gratitude in my journal.
And voila! Now, it’s your turn.
Have you ever felt unexcited about your birthday? If yes, why and what did you do to fight it?
Pleaaaaase, comment below. I’d love to read your story. 🙏🙏
